World Vision welcomes the bipartisan funding bill for the State Department and U.S. humanitarian assistance put forward by Congress. We are grateful for the leadership in both the House and Senate to fund programs that deliver lifesaving assistance to children and families across the globe.
While the bill includes some reductions to humanitarian funding, it clearly asserts America’s long tradition of compassion and leadership. At a moment when global hunger, conflict, and displacement continue to grow, the mandate is clear: lifesaving assistance is both a moral responsibility and a strategic investment in global stability.
We urge Congress to pass this legislation.
