Advocates,

it's that time of year

It's officially time to start preparing for our next advocacy meeting season!

This August, we'll meet with our members of Congress on the importance of supporting children in crisis through nourishing their mind, body, and soulWe'll ask our elected leaders to cosponsor two exciting new legislative initiatives:

The Hunger As a Weapon Resolution (H. Res. 922, S. Res. 669)

This bipartisan resolution will condemn the use of hunger as a weapon in conflict, ensure continued humanitarian response through interagency preparedness, and promote global accountability for those who use hunger as a weapon. Check out the action page here!

The Mental Health in International Development and Humanitarian Settings (MINDS) Act (H.R. 3988, S. 2105)

This is the first ever bill to address mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in US foreign assistance, with a special focus on vulnerable populations such as children and crisis-affected communities. Check out the action page here!
