Initially the government service providers would only come together for immunization drives or training programmes. But now their frequency of meeting has increased because of the focus given not only on immunizations, but also on the Village Health and Nutrition Day. This was possible after World Vision’s Sagar Health Project identified a loophole in the ANM’s visits that prevented the successful implementation of VHND. After designing a better scheduling system with the approval of the respective Government departments and also regularizing the functioning of 80 Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition committees (VHSNCs) things have significantly improved.
</oembed>
