There are 65 children in the Itumbule Primary Bible Club—26 of whom are sponsored. The students sing, learn Bible verses, hear the word of God, and plant and care for fruit trees. The Bible club is part of World Vision’s Transformed Church for Transformed Communities program. There are 40 such Bible clubs in the primary schools in Kalawa. The classes are taught by Catherine Mutinda, Philomenah Lukas, and Mirriam Musyim. Standout members of the class are Mumo Musango, the school president; Nyamai Kaliwa, who wants to be a pilot someday as he loves the thought of travel; Minoo Mukuni, who wants to be an attorney; and Mulheu Mulhui, who has grown spiritually because of the club. The children learn Bible verses, great songs about Jesus, and are encouraged to grow in faith and good character.
</oembed>
