The flash flood that inundated Ken&#x2019;s community killed 47 people, including 22 children. World Vision is providing essential relief items &#x2013; including blankets, mosquito nets, clothes, soap and solar lamps &#x2013; along with providing survivors of flooding with psychosocial counseling. In the longer term, World Vision aims to help damaged schools resume education by enhancing learning environments, assist farmers who lost their crops replant and restart their agricultural activities &#x2013; to ensure families have enough to eat and provide additional assistance to families whose homes were destroyed.</description></oembed>
