Today we celebrate reaching 5,000 Twitter followers! Thank you to all who have joined us on this journey. By being a part of our Twitter network, you help us amplify our voice and raise awareness for issues affecting the most vulnerable.
Millions of children and families around the world experience extreme global poverty every day, the numbers are staggering:
- There are 16,000 children under 5 who die each day of preventable causes;
- 663 million people lack access to safe water to drink, cook with, and bathe in;
- If women had the same access to farming resources as men in developing countries the number of hungry people could be reduced by about 150 million;
- More than 4.8 million people have fled Syria due to the current conflict.
But your advocacy makes a difference.
When you advocate for issues you care about, you bring your personal experience to something global, speaking out for people whose stories needs to be told.
If you haven’t joined us on Twitter yet, now is the time! There is always room for more advocates to raise their voices.
Thank you for joining us and raising your voice on Twitter!
